Frequently Asked
About the puppies
Are the puppies vaccinated and dewormed?
Yes, our puppies go home up to date on their vaccines and deworming.

What size will the puppies be as adults?
We don’t guarantee adult size; however, you can generally expect your puppy to mature within the weight range of their parents. Keep in mind that even the smallest puppy in a litter can sometimes grow to be the largest!

Will the puppies colors change as they get older?
Yes! The Shih Tzu breed is known for changing colors throughout their lifetime. Their coats may lighten or darken as they grow, and even their nose color can shift over time. It’s a natural and unique trait of the breed!
About the process
How can I reserve a puppy?
To reserve a puppy, we require a non-refundable $500 deposit.

What payment methods do you accept?
We accept PayPal, Venmo, Cash App, and Apple Cash.

Can I meet the puppies before choosing?
Yes, we offer video calls to those wanting to meet the puppies.

Do you have a waitlist for future litters?
Yes, we offer a paid waitlist, but it’s only open when we are officially expecting a litter. We no longer notify individuals of litter arrivals, as we now offer limited waitlist spots that guarantee the opportunity to select a puppy.
Care & Transition
What food are the puppies eating?
We feed our puppies Rachael Ray Nutrish Puppy food.

Are the puppies started on housebreaking?
Yes, although most puppies go home at 8 weeks, they typically don’t fully understand the concept until around 12 weeks of age. Our older puppies will generally be mostly, if not fully, housebroken by the time they go home.

What should I bring when picking up my puppy?
We provide a puppy bag with most of the essentials, but you’re welcome to bring a collar, leash, and water or food dishes if you’re traveling to us. Some families also bring puppy pads, but that’s completely optional!

Do you offer any tips for helping my puppy adjust to a new home?
Yes! All of our puppies go home with our puppy guide, which includes helpful information and tips for getting started with your new family member.
Other helpful information
Do you ship or deliver puppies?
No, we only schedule in-person meetings for puppy pickup.

Will you stay in touch after pickup?
Yes, we love staying in touch with our puppies’ new families, although it’s not required! We’ll reach out on your puppy’s first birthday to share a photo from when they were little and ask for an updated picture so we can feature them on our website.

What if I find that a puppy isn't for me?
We understand that sometimes a puppy may not be the right fit, and that’s okay. We always have an open door for any of our puppies to come back home. We’re more than happy to welcome them back and find them a loving new home.
